Dear Parents, Students and Friends,

I hope this letter finds you in good health and spirits.

I wish to thank all the students and parents of Fenton Karate for an awesome 2009.

I would like to wish everyone a very healthy and Prosperous New Year.

Building Self-Confidence in 2010.

Self confidence is extremely important in every aspect of our life and many people struggle to find it. It is known that people that lack self confidence find it harder to succeed in life. Self-confidence can be learned and built on and those who have it inspire confidence in others around them. Your level of self-confidence shows in your behavior, body language, how you speak and what you say etc.. Low confidence manifest itself as negativity where as self-confident people are most positive, they believe in themselves and their abilities. This leads to a more healthy and happy life.

Martial Arts training help to inspire students to achieve their goals. This in turn promotes a more mature self confident student. It is achieved by hard work, good physical fitness, team work and positive atmosphere.

In 2009 I will challenge the students of Fenton Karate in the following areas:

Body Posture: Because how you carry yourself is important on how you are viewed

by others. Carry yourself with pride

Eye Contact:  Eye contact with others makes them and you feel more connected.

Goal Setting:  Not missing the mark. What is the goal and what are the steps to

achieve it? A Martial Art student knows what the next goal is, the

path is laid out and the goal obtainable if the student works hard

and stays focused. Happy and more successful you will become.

Communication: Talking to those around you can be inspiring and helps you get

                          what you want.

Physical Fitness: Exercise is crucial for a healthy mind and body. Physical fitness is

                           an important ingredient for self-confidence.

Attitude:      A more positive attitude  makes it easier to cope with the day to day

encounters. See the brighter side of things, expect the best to

                    happen.

Are you ready for 2010?    I am!  and I am ready for the challenges.

Respectfully yours,
